Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is no longer the Thums Up brand ambassador for the beverages giant Coca Cola India. As Company dropped him from the brand endorsement.
The company is in talk with Befikre actor, Ranveer Singh to replace Salman Khan as Thumps Up Brand Ambassador. According to reports, “The contract with Salman Khan had expired last month and the company has chosen not to renew it.”

The company’s decision to not to renew the contract with Sultan actor Salman Khan’s Thums Up Brand Ambassador as Coca Cola is considering as a young brand. While Sultan actor now crosses his fifty. That is the reason that why Coca Cola India is talking to a much younger star like Ranveer Singh.
While Coca-Cola has not given any official reason behind this decision. Apparently, Salman Khan has been among the top celebrity endorsers charging Rs 5 crore per year per brand.
Recently, he had courted controversy when he supported Pakistani artists saying “they were not terrorists” in the wake of a debate on whether they should be allowed to work in Indian movies after the Uri attack.
Before few years, ADHM actor Ranbir Kapoor briefly took over endorsing Pepsi from King Khan Shah Rukh. Also Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan did a few ad-films for Coca-Cola, or Coke. Consequently, Padmavati actress Deepika Padukone has walked in as endorser of Coke.
Salman Khan is endorsing Thums Up brand ambassador since early 2000s but Company renewed his contract in 2012. While Coca-Cola India was promoting Salman Khan’s NGO “Being Human”.
