Salman Khan’s Sultan got massive response from public and it becomes India’s highest opener movie of the year 2016 at box office with Rs 36.54 Crore collection on first day. Sultan is released on Wednesday so it will get 5 days opening week. As today, on 7th July it is a festival of Eid and then there is weekend following it so Box office predicts business of Rs 150 crore at the end of first week of Sultan.

According to Taran Adarsh, the film has proved its supremacy at the box office with the “mind-boggling” business on day one. Adarsh has predicted a “historic” five-day weekend for the film.

Sultan box office collection on first day is not the biggest for Salman’s movie as last year, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo had opening day box office collection of Rs 40 Crore. Sultan is 2016’ highest opener bollywood movie.

Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated Fan is a distant second with Rs 19.2 crore business at the Box Office on first day collection. Salman Khan has not taken a fee for Sultan but has satellite rights and a share in profits valued at approx. 25 crores.
